Adopt-a- Tamarin

The Emperor tamarin was named for its resemblance to the German emperor Wilhelm II, due to its long, white mustache. These adorable monkeys are considered endangered in Brazil and Peru.

Adopt-an-Animal: Emperor Tamarin

While watching the Emperor tamarins at the San Francisco Zoo you may see the young brother and sister playing, chasing or even wrestling. Here at the Zoo the tamarins receive all kinds of interesting and fun enrichment, including: trays and boxes of forage items such as leaves, shredded paper and alfalfa, with insects or food hidden inside, and shiny, colorful and noisy toys they like to explore.

Your Adopt-an-Animal donation will be used to support these adorable primates and further the San Francisco Zoological Society’s mission to connect people to wildlife, inspire caring for nature and advance conservation action.

All sales are final.
