Saturdays and Sundays

These one-hour walks on the wild side are fantastic for audiences of all ages. Choose from three daily tour topics (Saturday and Sunday) to enhance your Zoo visit. Your knowledgeable guide will entertain you with fun facts, animal stories, and an education program animal encounter that will make you feel like a Zoo insider. 

10:00 to 11:00 am – It’s Easy Being Green Let’s make every day Earth Day! Join us as we focus on a few threatened animals and habitats that need your help. You’ll learn fun facts while also getting some easy ideas about how you can support wild places and wild things for generations to come! Tour includes a stop at our Penguin Feeding and Keeper Talk.

Noon to 1:00 pm – What’s for Lunch? Do you know what a flamingo eats for lunch? Can an owl really digest fur and bones?  Join us to learn what’s on the menu and what it takes to feed each and every zoo resident. Tour also includes a stop at the Prairie Dog Keeper Talk!

FULL 2:00 to 3:00 pm – Do You See What I See?  Get ready for an adventure exploring different kinds of camouflage! All over the world we see animals attempting to blend in with each other, with their environment, and even mimic other animals and plants! Learn how camouflage works and how each strategy suites an animal’s specific needs. Tour includes a stop at the Big Cat Keeper Talk! 

SFZS Members: $7 

Non-members: $10

Kids 5 and under: free
